How much redundancy pay will I get?
If you qualify, statutory redundancy pay is half, one or one and a half weeks’ pay for each full year worked, according to your age in that year.

Who qualifies?
You normally need to be an employee with at least 2 years’ continuous service. Your employer may pay more under your contract. Service is counted backwards from the redundancy date, with the most recent years first.

What is the weekly pay limit?
For redundancies from 6 April 2026, weekly pay is capped at £751 in England, Wales and Scotland, or £783 in Northern Ireland.
